From my experience, the stress related emotional problems fall into several categories depending on the individual and their experiences. 

Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is caused by an overwhelming emotional experience which can last for years after the event, sometimes leading to depression and other psychological problems. Anxiety and panic attacks this again can be triggered by a past emotional event, which may appear at the time of as insignificant.

Phobias or irrational fears, there is no such thing as irrational fear because its only irrational to the person who doesn’t have it.  below is a little note of what stress is.

Stress is perceived in the mind,

Suffered in the human spirit,

Experienced via the emotions,

Expressed in behaviour and

Held in the body.

The last part of this list above is the key to releasing your energy to cure yourself.

Picture a young child in its mother’s arms. It sees a bright red colour which happens to be a hotplate on the kitchen cooker. The child reaches over and touches the hot plate, the immediate reaction is to pull back its hand and cry because it hurts.

The brain then stores that emotion as pain and fear; this creates a memory at the cellular level, the physiological level and the emotional level and is stored in the body. If the child was not made to understand that this was a hot plate, the child would go through the rest of its life being afraid of anything red in colour. In other words the fear is locked into the body and becomes a Phobic reaction.

One particular woman asked me could I do anything for a frozen shoulder, when I asked her how long she had the problem she replied 16 years.  Asking her what happened 16 years ago gave the answer to her problem, the psychological and emotional energy of the shock had lodged in the shoulder. We cleared the emotional blockage in the shoulder; this cured the problem in approximate time 20 minutes.

“No state of mind can be more real than the mind itself”.

The question is, is the mind real? This has been argued by intellectuals and scholars for millenniums

It does not matter. Your perceptions are your reality. 

The emotions the mind creates are the driving force of the body they can create fear panic, peace, happiness or love.  Psychology is the study of the human mind and its effect on the body be it emotions or actions.

All your problems can be removed if you are shown the appropriate method to remove them. The held in the body is the important bit because this can lead to physical disease.

Below is a useful method of reducing stress, which I have successfully demonstrated to businessmen and businesswoman who had multiple symptoms (it’s worked for them). 

Please remember the word symptom.  The symptom is not the cause; this simple exercise can be done at any time, has a calming effect and will reduce your stress simply quickly and easily.

Stress tip 1

  1. Sit in your office chair.
  2. Place both your hands palm down on the desk.
  3. Breath in to a count of 5.
  4. Don’t hold your breath, breath out to a count of five.
  5. Breath like this several times to get the natural rhythm in 5 out 5.
  6. Now imagine as you breath in you are filled with energy.
  7. As you breathe out imagine all the worries and problems melt away through your hands in to the desk and through the ground.

Do this sequence for 10 minutes a day and you will be surprised with the results there is a physiological and psychological reason for this. I don’t want to bore you with the drawn out explanation. The clinical word is Homeostasis in Chinese medicine the term is balance.

Stress Tip 2

If ever you are really worried and concerned e.g. making a presentation that’s critical to your business or any other subject. This simple technique can be used in meeting where it is important that you remain relaxed.

Massage the thumb between the nail and the first joint (phalange), you can use either thumb.  This uses Chinese meridian control techniques; this part of the thumb is an end point of a meridian and will stimulate the brain to produce the right balance of dopamine and serotonin.  The Koreans have an acupuncture system that only uses the points of the hand.

There are some 400 alternative or holistic therapies for stress, too many to list here. There are over 1,000 listed phobias. Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome is similar to a phobic response all of them can be eliminated by finding the root cause, not just treating the symptom.
